Job Description:
The Cybersecurity Tools Administrator is responsible for proposing, developing, installing, managing, operating, maintaining, integrating, and configuring a suite of cybersecurity tools that support network cybersecurity operations across the program. These tools provide layered protection across endpoints, peripherals, data, email, web, and networks in environments such as CorpsNet, SIPRNet, cloud platforms, DMZ segments, network boundaries, and endpoint devices. This role supports defensive cyberspace operations and the full incident response lifecycle by ensuring that critical capabilities—including threat detection and prevention, traffic segmentation controls, data rights management, compliance to connect, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and security operations infrastructure—are fully operational, tuned, and secured.
The Work:
• Propose, install, configure, integrate, and maintain cybersecurity tools across multiple environments (CorpsNet, SIPRNet, cloud, DMZ, boundary networks).
• Manage the operation and continuous tuning of cybersecurity tools supporting endpoint, network, email, data, and web protection.
• Monitor resource utilization and system performance, ensuring tools remain operational, efficient, and securely configured.
• Support deployment of new cybersecurity solutions and upgrade existing toolsets.
• Maintain secure configurations, backups, and documentation for all security tools.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity security plans, diagrams, and related artifacts.
• Integrate SIEM data, ensuring logs and telemetry flow properly and support threat detection and incident response.
• Support vulnerability scanning capabilities and defensive cyberspace operations infrastructure.
• Maintain and update network architecture diagrams and configuration baselines.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and incident response teams to ensure tool effectiveness and alignment with mission needs.
Here's what you need:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or 4 years additional equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience proposing, developing, installing, managing, maintaining, integrating, and configuring cybersecurity tools across enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in threat detection and prevention tools, traffic segmentation controls, data rights management technologies, SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanning tools, and defensive cyberspace operations infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity toolsets across environments such as CorpsNet, SIPRNet, cloud platforms, DMZs, and network boundaries.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain secure configurations, monitor performance, and contribute to new tool deployment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CAP, or similar cybersecurity credentials.
• Familiarity with SIEM integration, automation, and orchestration technologies.
• Ability to maintain documentation, diagrams, and system baselines with high accuracy.
Eligibility Requirements
• Must be a US citizen (No Dual Citizenship)
• Must possess an active Secret clearance
