The work:
Support the facilitation of Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives. Assist senior Scrum Masters and team leads in reinforcing Agile methodology and basic Scrum practices. Help identify team blockers and escalate issues to the appropriate leaders for resolution. Work with the team to understand sprint goals and contribute to maintaining focus on delivering incremental value. Ability to assist in leading Agile ceremonies, support the removal of impediments, and help motivate teams toward their goals. Coordinate with other Scrum teams and roles to share updates and help maintain cross-team alignment. Participate in Agile working sessions and contribute to fostering collaboration and transparency.
Responsibilities:
• Provide initial inputs for Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and level-of-effort estimates under guidance from more senior team members.
• Serve as a first point of contact for basic Agile questions and help direct team members to best practices or resources in gathering feedback for process improvements and share recommendations with senior Scrum Masters or stakeholders.
• Use Jira to help manage the team backlog, update sprint progress, and prepare simple dashboards or reports.
• Support Agile Release Train (ART) activities by helping coordinate events and maintain alignment within a SAFe environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts through collecting team metrics and participating in team health check activities.
Here’s what you need:
• Experience 1+ years of professional experience
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Experience using Jira to track teamwork, user stories, and delivery progress.
• Foundational understanding of Agile estimation techniques, including ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) and level of effort approaches.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience collaborating across cross functional teams.
• Experience supporting government stakeholders or working in federal environments is preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred Experience:
• Exposure to additional Agile frameworks such as Kanban or SAFe.
• Familiarity with creating or refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and basic Agile artifacts.
• Experience assisting with team metrics (e.g., burndown charts, velocity tracking, dashboards).
• Understanding basic Agile coaching techniques and an interest in developing stronger facilitation skills.
• Experience supporting multiple teams or helping coordinate work across teams.
• Basic understanding of project management principles or experience using other collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with working in government or regulated environments is a plus.
• Certification Desired: Current SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or ICAgile Team Facilitation Certification.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
