Key Responsibilities
- →Oversee building design process to ensure compliance with client standards and guidelines
- →Establish and follow an effective design review process
- →Manage multiple projects, including engineering repair and critical repair
- →Provide Architects with clear direction regarding goals, standards, site, schedule, and budget
- →Identify and select architectural firms based on qualifications and performance standards
- →Review design changes to ensure project remains within budget
- →Monitor project planning and design status to report findings and updates
- →Manage multi-disciplinary designs and technical design reviews
- →Coordinate design consultants and contractor submissions
- →Undertake detailed technical reviews from concept through detailed design
- →Manage and coordinate design submissions from contractors and designers
- →Coordinate different design disciplines and management across sectors
- →Manage documentation using appropriate software and systems
- →Prepare Scope of Works and Requests for Proposals
- →Assess tenders and proposals technically
- →Ensure quality management and compliance with design procedures
- →Monitor and report on program and cost control
Requirements
- ✓Five years of experience in design, planning, and construction of educational facilities or public agencies
- ✓Ability to work independently with good technical knowledge
- ✓Project management and commercial experience
- ✓Strong understanding of educational and building standards
- ✓Experience with documentation management software
- ✓Experience with Scope of Works and RFP preparation
- ✓Technical assessment skills for tenders and proposals
- ✓Quality management and compliance experience
- ✓Program and cost control monitoring skills
