AECOM is seeking a PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER - CIVIL HIGHWAY DESIGN to be based in either the Conshohocken, PA or Philadelphia, PA office.  This is a HYBRID position and additional office locations may be considered.  In this role, you will provide technical leadership to teams working on medium to large scale transportation projects in the Greater Pennsylvania Area.

β’ Nashville, TN - East Bank TransitwayThe Civil Highway Design Technical Lead candidate will delegate tasks to less experienced engineers and provide technical guidance and support to those individuals. As a professional engineer licensed in Pennsylvania, they will use prior experience with publications, manuals, and processes considered standard to PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, City of Philadelphia, and/or SEPTA.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
β’ Develop design criteria, horizontal and vertical alignments, superelevation, barrier/guiderail design, and spot elevation details
β’ Develop rigid and flexible pavement designs
β’ Prepare signing and pavement marking plans and details
β’ Prepare construction phasing plans and develop maintenance of traffic based on interdisciplinary coordination and constructability reviews
β’ Identify utility conflicts and coordinate resolutions based on interdisciplinary constructability reviews, client feedback, and utility needs
β’ Develop construction specifications, quantities, and cost estimates
β’ Implement 3D CADD modeling techniques
β’ Develop technical reports, tables, and graphics per client and/or internal AECOM standards
β’ Adhere to and promote AECOM quality procedures
β’ Complete interdisciplinary technical reviews
β’ Contribute to internal project-related staffing decisions to facilitate meeting client schedule, scope, and budget
β’ Develop project design schedules for submissions and internal milestones in coordination with project manager
β’ Prepare presentations that explain technical findings, recommendations, and limitations
β’ Work collaboratively as part of a larger design team to proactively meet the clientβs scope, budget, and schedule through ethical and responsible decision making
β’ Provide support to AECOM project managers and department managers
β’ Contribute to the development of technical scope and price proposalsAttributes
β’ Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
β’ Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise

β’ Analyzes complex issues and recommends solutions which may lead to improvements in methodologies
