About the Role
We are looking for a mid-level Environmental Data Scientist to support our enterprise environmental data management system (EarthSoft EQuIS). This role involves managing and analyzing environmental data from various monitoring activities.
Key Responsibilities
- βGather, organize, and validate field data from environmental monitoring activities such as air, soil, and water quality assessments
- βManage field and analytical data in relational database systems like EarthSoft EQuIS, Locus EIM, or other environment databases
- βConduct QA/QC for electronic data deliverables with laboratory analytical data to ensure quality
- βManage data for technical report writing and interpretation, generating standardized report output through software tools
- βPrepare environmental data summaries and compliance reports for submission to regulatory agencies
- βUtilize statistical tools and predictive modeling techniques to assess environmental impacts and forecast trends
- βEnsure data meets reporting standards and guidelines set by local, state, and federal authorities
- βGenerate Borelogs through multiple platforms like gINT, open source, or EQuIS
- βSupport legacy data migrations to EQuIS/EIM as needed
- βCollaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and team members to achieve project objectives efficiently
- βMaintain and update various project dashboards using the web-based EQuIS Enterpriseβ’ system
- βAssist stakeholders with global projects and deliver tasks with high quality within deadlines
Requirements
- βMinimum of 5 years of experience in environmental data management
- βStrong understanding of environmental data and terminology
- βExperience with relational database systems and environmental databases
- βProficiency in statistical tools and predictive modeling techniques
- βExperience with visualization tools like Power BI
- βAbility to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- βGood communication skills
