At AECOM, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join our Dublin office.
The Senior Project Manager will serve as the Contracting Entityβs representative, with overall responsibility for managing a portfolio of projects from initial planning and design through to successful completion and commissioning. The role is accountable for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the required specifications. The Senior Project Manager will ensure that all project goals and objectives are achieved in line with the Contracting Entityβs employer requirements and the wider corporate strategic objectives for the portfolio.
You will operate within a live, highly regulated airport environment, leading multidisciplinary teams and managing critical stakeholder relationships to ensure successful programme outcomes.
The Senior Project Manager  will be required to attend site four days per week and one day per week will be remote working.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Programme Requirements, Standards & Performance
β’ Oversee and monitor project delivery across all key areas including schedule, interfaces, cost, variations, contracts, and risk, coordinating with relevant team members and functional stakeholders as required.
β’ Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan, ensuring the project is aligned with and delivered in accordance with the Contracting Entityβs standards, governance, and delivery methodologies.
β’ Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Airport Transformation Manager, ensuring clear communication, collaboration, and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.Team Management
β’ Lead and manage a team of Project Managers, each responsible for the successful delivery of one or more projects within the programme portfolio.
β’ Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Project Managers, ensuring appropriate project management methodologies, controls, and performance measures are implemented to achieve delivery against cost, schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
β’ Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed resource plans to support the effective delivery of projects under the Senior Project Managerβs responsibility.
β’ Provide technical, commercial, and contractual guidance to Project Managers in the execution of their day-to-day responsibilities.
β’ Be accountable for the preparation and presentation of performance reports across all projects within the assigned portfolio.
β’ Collaborate closely with the Programme Director to identify, escalate, and resolve issues arising during project delivery.Project Management Activities
β’ Lead the overall coordination of projects, ensuring all interfaces are identified, managed, and addressed throughout each stage of the project lifecycle.
β’ Maintain and manage the Responsible / Accountable / Consulted / Informed (RACI) task tracker to ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities.
β’ Coordinate with technical teams in the management of design consultants and other external service providers to ensure delivery requirements are achieved.
β’ Organise and chair design review meetings, and communicate formal design acceptance to the Contractor as appropriate.
β’ Ensure all relevant project team members and stakeholders are informed of design changes and potential impacts on project delivery.
β’ Prepare and issue monthly reports detailing project activities and progress throughout the lifecycle, including construction activities during the delivery phase.
β’ Maintain and regularly update the overall project risk register, ensuring risks are reviewed and discussed at monthly progress meetings.
β’ Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in project management procedures, templates, and delivery practices, escalating recommendations to the appropriate line manager.
β’ Monitor project performance and apply appropriate performance management techniques to support successful project outcomes.
β’ Manage the project change control process, ensuring all changes are properly assessed, approved, documented, and communicated.
β’ Manage the flow of project information between the project team and the client through regular meetings, reporting, and formal written communications.NEC Specific Activities
β’ Review, assess, and formally accept programme submissions in accordance with NEC contract requirements.
β’ Lead project delivery activities in the spirit of mutual trust and co-operation, fostering collaborative working relationships across all parties.
β’ Issue communications and contractual documentation as required under the Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC), and perform all additional duties and obligations defined within the contract.
β’ Carry out the duties as the Project Manager as required by the Contracting Entityβs contract for the Programme, maintaining close contact with the Client in order to ensure the Project Managerβs actions reflect the Contracting Entityβs objectives for the project
β’ Manage the compensation event process so that the Contractor is fairly compensated for any Contracting Entity- initiated change on the project
β’ Ensure the Contractor notifies compensation events in good time so that the Contracting Entity is not disadvantaged
