About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our expanding water engineering practice. This role involves managing engineering design projects for various water and wastewater systems in the Hampton Roads region and central, northern Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage, plan, and lead engineering design projects for sanitary sewer collection systems, pumping stations, lift stations, force mains, interceptors, water distribution systems, green infrastructure, reservoirs, and water/wastewater treatment plants
- →Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects
- →Supervise mid to junior level engineers and project administration, project controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating, and procurement representatives
- →Coordinate and complete projects on time, within budget, and within scope
- →Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
- →Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs
- →Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- →Manage client and stakeholder relationships
- →Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- →Deliver planned profit margins
- →Provide specialized technical input to studies and design
- →Develop study and design procedures for high-quality, cost-effective work
- →Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
- →Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts
- →Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings
- →Prepare technical specification sections
Requirements
- ✓Experience in managing engineering design projects for water and wastewater systems
- ✓Ability to supervise engineers and project administration
- ✓Strong project management skills
- ✓Knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating, and procurement
