About the Role
AECOM is seeking a highly talented Regulatory Specialist and Project Manager to join their Northern California Natural Resources team. This hybrid position will be based in Oakland, CA and support numerous natural resource projects in California.
Key Responsibilities
- →Independently manage project teams to prepare large, complex natural resources documents such as Biological Technical Reports, Biological Assessments, 404/401/1602 Permit Applications, 2081 Permit Applications, and Habitat Conservation Plans
- →Manage projects with large-scale field efforts and intensive schedules
- →Manage large-scale compliance projects requiring adherence to permit conditions
- →Perform project management duties such as forecasting, tracking, accounting updates, invoicing, progress reports, and scheduling
- →Review contracts for understanding of scope, fee, schedule, and deliverables
- →Monitor and analyze project costs, commitments, accruals, and changes
- →Operate as primary point of contact for clients and resource agencies on projects
- →Perform client management duties such as recurring status meetings and milestone check-ins
- →Prepare or contribute to competitive proposals and participate in interviews
- →Focus on supporting career development of junior individuals in the practice
Requirements
- ✓Experience in natural resources project management
- ✓Knowledge of permit applications and compliance requirements
- ✓Strong project management and organizational skills
- ✓Ability to lead project teams and manage complex projects
- ✓Experience with contract review and client management
- ✓Understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes
- ✓Ability to prepare technical reports and proposals
- ✓Experience with budgeting and financial management
- ✓Strong communication and interpersonal skills
