About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join Aeva's team. This role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines for sensor data from automated driving and robotics applications.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop Python and C++ infrastructure to ingest, validate, and organize camera and LiDAR data from collection vehicles
- →Run camera, lidar, and GPS calibration workflows on data collection vehicles
- →Debug hardware/software integration issues on data collection rigs
- →Build and maintain ETL pipelines for high-volume sensor data
- →Collaborate with external annotation and labeling vendors
- →Work with the operations team to plan and execute data collection runs
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- ✓3+ years of industry experience in software development
- ✓Strong fundamentals in software engineering
- ✓Experience designing and operating data pipelines at scale
- ✓Familiarity with robotics or autonomous systems data
- ✓Experience with databases in production data workflows
- ✓Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
