About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Payments Gateway team at Airbnb. You will be responsible for building and maintaining our global payments platform that handles billions of dollars across 191 countries.
Key Responsibilities
- βBuild backend services and APIs to create scalable engineering systems
- βWork with data scientists, business analysts and operations to define, capture, and use real-time event data for business insights and product features
- βCollaborate with infrastructure engineering teams to participate in, validate, and evolve how we build, test, and deploy code in a distributed Service-Oriented Architecture
- βAlter existing and develop new data access and protection patterns to ensure our communityβs personal data is safe and secure, at scale
Requirements
- βBE/B.tech in Computer Science or equivalent field
- β7+ years of industry experience
- βBackend or Full-Stack experience in a big tech or MNC organisation
- βHands on Work experience, open-source code in any of the following languages: C/C++, Java, C#, Python/Django, React
- βEvidence of exposure to architectural patterns of a large, high-scale web application
- βUnderstanding of data structures and problem solving approaches
- βExperience with Agile development
- βPassion for creating highly effective technology platform for our growing global workforce
