SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
The Senior Account Executive team is a core driver of growth within Airwallex. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business across our Acquiring, Card, FX, and Payment API product suite, targeting eCommerce retailers, marketplaces, online travel agents, and other high-potential verticals.
As a Senior Account Executive, you will combine deep payments expertise with a strong commercial mindset to deliver consistent results across the Mid-Market segment. Beyond individual contribution, you will play a critical role as a senior member of the teamβacting as a trusted partner to the Sales Manager, supporting team development, and elevating overall sales performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively identify, hunt, and convert new business opportunities across Australia, leveraging your network, industry expertise, and strategic prospecting.
- Own and drive the full sales cycle end-to-end, from prospecting through to close, across Mid-Market accounts.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations, partnering closely with Legal, Finance, and Strategy to execute agreements.
- Build, manage, and maintain a high-quality pipeline, while contributing to the definition and evolution of sales best practices for the Australian business.
- Act as a 2IC to the Sales Manager, providing leadership support, stepping in where required, and helping drive team performance and accountability.
- Mentor and coach Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), supporting their progression, prospecting effectiveness, and conversion into pipeline.
- Take on a broader mentorship role within the sales team, sharing best practices, contributing to onboarding, and uplifting capability across peers and junior team members.
- Act as a role model for sales excellence, setting the standard across deal execution, customer engagement, and internal collaboration.
