About the Role
We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to join the Client Risk Team at Airwallex. This role involves building and evolving web applications used by Risk Operations, Compliance, and internal stakeholders to investigate cases, make decisions, and manage client risk at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, build, and maintain high-quality, scalable frontend applications for Client Risk workflows
- →Partner with Product and Ops to translate operational problems into clear UX flows
- →Build reusable frontend foundations that enable consistent delivery across systems
- →Integrate with backend services via REST and/or GraphQL
- →Drive frontend architecture and engineering excellence
- →Collaborate cross-functionally with backend engineers, data, and compliance partners
- →Contribute to BFF or light backend tasks to unblock end-to-end delivery
Requirements
- ✓2+ years of professional frontend engineering experience
- ✓Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript
- ✓Strong experience with React and its ecosystem
- ✓Experience designing and delivering frontend architecture for large-scale web systems
- ✓Familiarity with common frontend styling and UI approaches
- ✓Solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, browser fundamentals, and API integration patterns
- ✓Strong collaboration and communication skills
- ✓A strong quality mindset: you care about correctness, user impact, maintainability, and operational safety
