About the Role
We are looking for a Security Leader to join Aiven, a global team of over 400 people working on open-source technology and multi-cloud solutions. This role involves transitioning the security function from an external auditor to an embedded partner, ensuring security is built into the product DNA.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead a high-talent organization that builds security champions within product squads
- →Partner with sales leaders to win and retain enterprise customers
- →Manage and lead a global security team of ~20 people
- →Define security guardrails for next-gen AI services
- →Oversee core compliance (SOC2, ISO 27k, PCI-DSS) and incident response capabilities
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience leading security in a high-growth SaaS, Cloud, or Infrastructure company
- ✓Track record of partnering with GTM functions to close high-ACV enterprise deals
- ✓Experience implementing Security Champion or embedded security programs
- ✓Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones
- ✓Deep familiarity with the European regulatory landscape (GDPR, NIS2, etc.)
