About the Role
We are looking for an Automation QA Engineer to join our team at Ajax Systems, a leading European manufacturer of security systems. This role focuses on ensuring the quality of our hardware and software products through testing and firmware development.
Key Responsibilities
- βImprove the quality of our hardware and software products for device firmware and production testing
- βAnalyze testing requirements for devices, software functionality, and test stands
- βPrepare checklists, test cases, and test plans
- βIdentify bugs and use logs, debugging tools, and external manifestations to determine their causes
- βConduct research on device and software operation, and troubleshoot issues
Requirements
- βStrong technical background (technical education)
- βKnowledge and understanding of testing theory
- βAbility to create test cases, user scenarios, and checklists
- βAbility to properly describe bug reports and manage their lifecycle
- βExperience with bug-tracking systems (Jira)
- βAbility to work with databases and SQL queries
- βUnderstanding of basic electronic components (resistor, capacitor, transistor)
- βBasic skills in reading electrical schematics and knowledge of graphical representation of electronic components
- βCommunication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team
- βEnglish at a level sufficient for reading and understanding documentation
