About the Role
We are looking for an RTOS Tester to join Ajax Systems, a leading European developer and manufacturer of security systems with smart home capabilities. You will be responsible for testing the operation of the Malevich operating system that works with our proprietary hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- βConduct functional and non-functional testing of the Malevich OS central unit
- βGain deep understanding of system architecture and the central unit's role in interacting with other components
- βIdentify system malfunctions not only through logs but also through external manifestations
- βAnalyze and validate functional and non-functional requirements specified in technical specifications and protocol specifications
- βCreate test documentation including test cases, checklists, and requirement coverage matrices
- βGenerate bug reports
- βInteract with other teams and departments including business analysts, designers, developers, QA teams, and support teams
- βUtilize server and device emulators (QA Tools) in testing
- βWork with Git
Requirements
- βExcellent knowledge of testing theory and software development life cycle (SDLC)
- βProficiency in test design techniques
- βAbility to work with test documentation including writing test cases and bug reports
- βAbility to work with requirements
- βStrong analytical skills: ability not only to find problems but also to investigate their root causes
- βKnowledge of binary and hexadecimal number systems
- βTechnical education
- βHigh level of self-organization and attention to detail
