About the Role
Join Benesch's thriving Structural team as a Structural Designer. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to deliver high-quality structural design services for bridge and infrastructure projects in Michigan.
Key Responsibilities
- →Perform structural analysis of bridge and infrastructure project elements
- →Develop load calculations and structural design computations for project components
- →Prepare organized, detailed structural calculations and technical documentation
- →Design and draft structural elements, details, and connection designs
- →Develop plans and specifications using MicroStation software
- →Prepare complete and reviewable task deliverables that meet quality standards
- →Complete assigned tasks on schedule and within established project budgets
- →Work independently under the guidance of Project Managers and Project Engineers
- →Review and check structural calculations and design work
- →Participate in coordination meetings with multidisciplinary project teams
Requirements
- ✓M.S. in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis, or candidates currently pursuing or planning to pursue a master's degree
- ✓Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within one year
- ✓0-2 years of bridge design experience or relevant structural engineering internship experience
- ✓Understanding of structural engineering principles, building codes, and design standards
- ✓Ability to perform structural analysis and design calculations
- ✓Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet design budgets and schedules
