Compliance Specialist at Alku

Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 Job Summary: With growing populations of personnel, ALKU is seeking an HR professional with a desire to specialize in compliance. The Compliance Specialist will work within the Human Resources team as an independent person while collaborating with colleagues of all levels. This person will identify, investigate, report, inform, and advise to ensure the company’s operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and policies. Duties/Responsibilities: • Remain up to date and knowledgeable on both U.S. employment law as well as other countries in which ALKU does business • Work closely with General Counsel to respond to and see through any legal matters • Collaborate with internal teams such as Payroll, Personnel Services, Client Services, Billing, etc. to proactively and reactively research and problem-solve • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance-related training materials & tools to present and teach to peers • Respond to inquiries related to pay transparency, leave, worker’s compensation, surveys, etc. • Conduct audits to identify compliance gaps and execute on necessary changes • Assist with other general HR responsibilities as needed Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills • General knowledge of employment laws, legal codes, procedures, and other related standards • Time management skills that support urgency and diligence • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software • Fast learner On-Site Requirements: • Talent In Office Policy Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree is required • Two to three years of compliance experience is required • Human Resources accreditation and/or experience working for a staffing company preferred but not required Benefits: • Competitive 401(k) with company match • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and Volunteer Time Off (VTO) • Mentorship programs, career development, and advancement opportunities • Paid parental leave and family planning support • Student loan reimbursement • ALKU's Performance Unit Plan Equity Program • Hybrid in-office policy • Fitness Reimbursement • Employee Resource Groups and opportunities for community involvement • Company-sponsored outings, networking events, and incentive trips #LI-HM1
