About the Role
The Global Raw Material Team at ALO is seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join their team. The raw material production colorist will bring expertise in color, production, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- →Review production shipment samples and color fastness test reports to ensure color consistency
- →Communicate and troubleshoot color comments to suppliers and vendors
- →Track and follow up on lab dip and bulk shipment samples
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate color status, risks, and solutions
- →Manage and organize the physical and digital color standard library
- →Advise on the achievability of specific colors and dye methods
Requirements
- ✓Background in apparel product, preferably in production and color
- ✓2-4 years of experience in a Color role or relevant role
- ✓Knowledge of dyes, dyeing techniques, and printing techniques
- ✓Understanding of textile structures and their influence on color appearance
- ✓Proficiency in PC/MAC, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PLM
- ✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Highly organized with attention to detail
- ✓Personable, team player, and able to troubleshoot under tight time constraints
- ✓Understanding of visual and instrumental color evaluation procedures
- ✓Ability to differentiate and analyze color accurately
- ✓Willingness to travel between BH and Commerce or to suppliers as needed
- ✓Superior results on Munsell HUE 100 test
