About the Role
We are looking for a Design & Release Engineer to join our Coventry-based team in the Automotive domain. This role involves supporting delivery through the specification, planning, validation, and coordination of Thermal Interface Material commodities.
Key Responsibilities
- →Defining technical requirements and authoring associated test plans for Thermal Interface Materials (TIMs).
- →Planning and coordinating commodity deliverables in alignment with Cycle Plan programmes using Product Creation and Delivery System (PCDS) principles.
- →Leading delivery of technical solutions through cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- →Managing documentation and technical gateways to support programme milestones.
- →Communicating with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategy, risks, and progress.
- →Supporting component design activities including functional analysis, DFMEA, and critical characteristic identification.
- →Implementing structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why) to resolve engineering issues.
- →Strategically developing the commodity roadmap and contributing to long-term product strategy.
