About the Role
Apex Companies is seeking a CAD/GIS Technician to join their growing engineering and environmental consulting firm. This role involves preparing detailed civil design drawings and construction documents using various CAD and GIS software.
Key Responsibilities
- →Review CAD drawings and designs to ensure compliance with established standards
- →Prepare detailed civil design drawings for grading and site development
- →Prepare construction documents based on self-directed design and engineering mark-ups
- →Prepare mine support and permitting exhibits for various sites
- →Process aerial drone and field survey data to generate mapping
- →Process Laser Scans and produce BIM Models using Revit
- →Perform volume/quantity calculations for earthwork and infrastructure projects
- →Coordinate with various design teams to produce technical drawings
- →Operate self-directed on multidiscipline projects
- →Work with CAD Team Members, Project Managers, and Project Engineers
Requirements
- ✓Minimum of an Associates Degree in Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Design, or related field
- ✓Related experience
- ✓Proficiency with MS Office suite, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
- ✓Excellent technical communication skills and strong attention to detail
- ✓Good safety record and understanding of safe work practices
