About the Role
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our team at Applaudo. This role focuses on building reliable, scalable automated testing solutions for complex Android-based Kiosk platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, implement, and maintain automated test solutions for the Android-based Kiosk platform
- →Extend and evolve existing automation frameworks with a focus on reliability and scalability
- →Execute automation across local emulators, physical kiosk hardware, and cloud-based environments
- →Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support build validation
- →Diagnose and resolve complex automation failures related to infrastructure and system interactions
- →Collaborate closely with QE Leads and development teams to align automation coverage
Requirements
- ✓6+ years of experience in QA Automation or Software Engineering roles
- ✓Extensive hands-on experience writing test automation in Java, particularly for Android applications
- ✓Strong experience using Java-based test automation frameworks for UI and API testing
- ✓Experience validating end-to-end workflows across UI, backend integrations, and distributed systems
- ✓Experience executing automation across multiple environments, including local emulators and physical hardware
- ✓Hands-on experience working with cloud-based test environments, particularly AWS
- ✓Strong ability to troubleshoot automation failures across multiple layers
- ✓Ability to independently learn and model complex systems
- ✓Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- ✓Experience collaborating closely with QE Leads and development teams
- ✓Interest in deep technical ownership as an individual contributor
- ✓Experience leveraging AI tools to improve automation efficiency (nice to have)
