About the Role
We are seeking an Application Cloud Architect with expertise in Data & AI Text Mining to join our team at the EU Institutions in Brussels. This role involves designing, building, and evolving robust, secure, and scalable server-side solutions for modern web applications and data-driven services.
Key Responsibilities
- βDesign and architect server-side components and backend services for web applications using Python best practices.
- βDevelop, maintain, and document RESTful APIs for seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.
- βDesign, implement, and optimize relational and non-relational database schemas and queries for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- βDefine and enforce database security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
- βMonitor and enhance application performance by identifying bottlenecks and optimizing server-side logic and database interactions.
- βDesign and implement scalable, cloud-native architectures capable of handling increased user load and large data volumes.
- βContribute to secure software development by performing code reviews and using vulnerability scanning tools.
- βCollaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and secure solutions.
Requirements
