About the Role
We are seeking a self-directed and highly motivated Virtual Merchandise Assistant to join our team. This role serves as the connective tissue of our product development cycle, responsible for end-to-end coordination of sample production to ensure all design details are captured, gemstones are tracked, and deadlines are met for critical sales presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- →Monitor design development communications to gather, log, and track style specifications and revisions
- →Create and maintain accurate SKUs and technical descriptions for all new jewelry samples
- →Create and place purchase orders for samples, gemstones, and diamonds, following up with external vendors
- →Ensure all physical samples are organized and routed correctly to international photography teams
- →Create and issue purchase invoices for gemstones and diamonds used in sample production
- →Participate in departmental meetings to record notes, track action items, and present project status updates
- →Provide direct support to the company President and adjacent teams on urgent ad hoc projects
Requirements
- ✓3 years of experience in merchandise assistant, production coordination, or administrative support role
- ✓Experience within jewelry, fashion, or luxury goods industry is highly preferred
- ✓Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high company standards
- ✓Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- ✓Basic understanding of jewelry types and components
- ✓Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- ✓Ability to manage multiple overlapping project timelines in a fast-paced environment
- ✓Curious learner eager to master industry-specific terminology and naturally self-motivated
