About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and tactical leader in FAA product certification to join BETA Technologies. This role involves partnering with the Product Program Manager to navigate the complex certification process and revolutionize electric aviation.
Key Responsibilities
- βCreate detailed project plans for certification activities and determine the critical path
- βManage planning and completion of certification activities from initial application through final type certificate issuance
- βIdentify and manage certification-related risks
- βDevelop tracking tools to show certification status and progress for communication across the organization
Requirements
- βBachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field
- β10+ years of program management experience in civil aviation aircraft development and certification
- βWorking knowledge of the activities and sequencing required to complete an aircraft or engine certification project
- βStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with team members throughout the organization
- βExcellent organizational skills without predetermined structure
- βAbility to be a pragmatic and creative thinker when solving complex problems
- βWillingness to be a team player and adapt to different roles as needed
- βProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- βExcellent written and verbal communication skills for multi-stakeholder technical environments
- βAbility to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment with changing priorities
- βProficient in Microsoft products including Microsoft Project and 365/office (SharePoint, Outlook, Calendar, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
