About the Role
The Bid Manager will lead and coordinate the end-to-end bid and proposal process for customer support, service, and lifecycle offerings within the aftermarket automation environment. This role supports various service-related commercial activities and works cross-functionally with multiple departments to ensure accurate and competitive customer support bids.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead customer support bid creation, owning scope definition, assumptions, timelines, and submission deliverables
- →Drive costing alignment across service labor, travel, spare parts, subcontractors, and tooling
- →Manage the full bid lifecycle for service and support-related proposals
- →Analyze customer RFPs, RFQs, and service requests to define scope, risks, and cost drivers
- →Serve as the primary interface between technical and commercial teams
- →Coordinate internal bid reviews to validate technical feasibility, operational readiness, pricing logic, and financial performance
- →Develop, validate, and maintain standard pricing logic and costing models for customer support and service offerings
- →Standardize proposal templates, service descriptions, and commercial structures
- →Ensure bids comply with internal governance requirements, approval matrices, and quality standards
- →Support contract clarification and provide a structured handover to service delivery and operations teams post-award
Requirements
- ✓Experience in bid and proposal management within a service or automation environment
- ✓Strong understanding of costing, pricing, and commercial strategies
- ✓Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams
- ✓Knowledge of service delivery capabilities and operational readiness
- ✓Experience with proposal templates, service descriptions, and commercial structures
- ✓Familiarity with internal governance requirements, approval matrices, and quality standards
- ✓Ability to analyze customer RFPs, RFQs, and service requests
- ✓Experience with pricing logic and costing models
- ✓Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- ✓Ability to drive continuous improvement in bid processes
