About the Role
We are looking for a Project Manager to join the BEUMER Group in North America. This high-visibility, high-impact role is responsible for leading and managing large-scale Airport baggage handling system (ICS) projects, with a focus on the San Francisco Airport (SFO) project.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and execute a project strategy that meets performance, schedule, and profitability targets
- →Maintain customer focus as the primary contact for BEUMER
- →Serve as Global PM responsible for project execution locally and with supporting Group Companies
- →Lead a multi-disciplined project team throughout the complete project life cycle
- →Develop and maintain detailed schedule and cost planning
- →Manage key project management processes such as Scope management, Supply chain management, change management, Risk management, Claim Management
- →Coordinate and develop scope and price for change order opportunities
- →Serve as a proactive leader/problem solver addressing complex issues
- →Solve multicomplex technical issues and manage specialized design teams
- →Support Procurement in creation and reviewing of technical specifications
- →Manage project risk with the PM team
- →Manage and enhance relationships with Customer, Consultants, Suppliers and Trades
- →Track project progress, variances, and recovery
- →Ensure project health, safety and environmental standards meet requirements
- →Direct involvement in specification approval, design, production, installation, and commissioning
- →Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and final testing
Requirements
- ✓Demonstrable record of success on medium to large scale projects
- ✓Strong leadership/management skills and effective decision-making capabilities
- ✓Well-developed people and project management skills
- ✓Sound business judgment
- ✓Experience with airport baggage handling systems preferred
