About the Role
We are looking for an Economic Game Designer to join Behaviour Interactive, a leading independent game studio based in Montreal. This role involves designing, implementing, and balancing the game's economy to support a compelling and sustainable player experience.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define the monetization strategy with the development team and design an economic model that brings value to the players
- →Balance virtual products, player progression, currencies, sinks and sources
- →Analyze metrics and suggest improvements to the development and live team
- →Suggest improvements to the gameplay loops
- →Create design documents related to the economy that target to improve acquisition, retention, and monetization
Requirements
- ✓Experience contributing to at least one successful live game
- ✓Strong ability to balance complex game economic systems and familiar with Agile production
- ✓Proficiency with Microsoft Excel simulations and predictive calculations
- ✓Continuous analysis of current strategies and ability to propose new ways to optimize/maximize game revenue
- ✓Experience in supporting soft launches and live operations, with an understanding of monetization, retention, and virality drivers
