About the Role
We are looking for a Community Engagement Manager to join Bird, a global leader in micromobility. This role focuses on growing and strengthening Birdβs presence and partnerships in communities we serve, working directly with city staff, elected officials, and community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- βBuild strong relationships with city staff and local stakeholders to identify common ground and advance Birdβs policy goals.
- βLead development and implementation of comprehensive community engagement strategy
- βOrganize and attend community meetings and events
- βSupport the development of win-win regulations that drive responsible growth of micromobility
- βWork closely with operations partners to ensure Birdβs service is responsive and responsible to communities
- βOwn programmatic reporting and evaluation to ensure compliance
- βData-driven approach to continuous improvement and growth of Birdβs micromobility service
Requirements
- β3+ years progressive experience in government relations, transportation advocacy, or community organizing
- βBackground and/or interest in urban mobility
- βAbility to build and strengthen relationships with key community stakeholders including city officials
- βStrong project management and organization with a data-driven approach
- βAbility to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure Bird fulfills all obligations required by cities
- βAbility to build close relationships with Birdβs local General Manager(s) and operations teams
- βAbility to travel up to 30%
- βApplicants must be authorized to work without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work visa sponsorship
