About the Role

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join Bland AI, a Series B startup that builds AI voice agents for major companies. This role involves working directly with customers to design and deploy AI solutions that automate real business processes.

Key Responsibilities

→Design and deploy AI solutions, integrating APIs and data sources to automate business processes
→Prototype quickly, iterate based on real-world feedback, and deploy agents into production
→Collaborate with customer teams across engineering, product, and operations to ensure agent performance and scalability
→Own end-to-end delivery from discovery call to deployment, ensuring a natural and on-brand experience
→Drive adoption and expansion by sharing results, training teams, and uncovering new automation opportunities
→Be the face of Bland, developing real relationships with customers and stakeholders

Requirements

✓0–10 years of experience in full-stack, AI, or solutions engineering roles
✓Proven experience building and integrating AI or automation features into real-world applications
✓Hands-on experience integrating LLMs or AI SDKs into web applications
✓Strong comfort working with REST/JSON, scripting languages (Python or JavaScript), and modern dev tools (Git, NPM/PNPM)
✓Track record of ownership and grit in building from scratch or solving hard problems
✓Excellent communication skills to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
✓Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-intensity environment
✓Willingness to work in-person frequently at SF HQ and customer sites
