About the Role
We are looking for a Design Lead to join Blink's Embedded practice, supporting long-term opportunities with major client partners. This role involves leading end-to-end design initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create cohesive user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead end-to-end design initiatives from discovery through delivery
- →Conceive and deliver design solutions aligned with business objectives and user needs
- →Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure consistent experiences
- →Drive systems-level design by developing reusable patterns and components
- →Contribute to and evolve the design system for consistency and scalability
- →Ensure design solutions function effectively across browsers and devices
- →Translate complex requirements into intuitive designs and production-ready assets
- →Drive alignment across teams through clear rationale and design reviews
- →Partner with cross-functional teams to develop concepts and maintain design intent
- →Balance user experience goals with technical feasibility and timelines
- →Evaluate and refine design workflows to improve efficiency and quality
- →Identify opportunities to optimize and automate processes
- →Serve as a thought partner to other designers, sharing knowledge and elevating standards
- →Promote a culture of continuous learning and constructive feedback
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of experience
- ✓Proficiency in Figma and ability to adopt additional design tools
- ✓Portfolio demonstrating shipped web applications and end-to-end ownership
- ✓Experience designing complex, permissions-driven environments
- ✓Accessibility competency for web applications
- ✓High aptitude for creative problem solving and innovative solutions
- ✓Fluency in web-based information architecture and design best practices
- ✓Advanced understanding of visual design and UI design principles
- ✓Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum ceremonies and engineering collaboration
- ✓Ability to partner with stakeholders to understand requirements
- ✓Proven experience communicating design processes and solutions
- ✓Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands
- ✓Ability to make design decisions using research and analytics
