The Risk Analytics Engineering team at Block delivers data-driven insights and infrastructure that power regulatory excellence, risk management, and compliance operations. This role supports unprecedented demand from regulatory and compliance operations by building new tools and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

→Lead cross-team initiatives to build scalable data pipelines that drive insights across the organization
→Build and promote an effective data strategy, including developing processes and infrastructure
→Develop and own key components of the data pipeline, creating new and optimizing existing data models
→Collaborate with stakeholders to build scalable data solutions that drive regulatory response
→Build automation tooling and self-serve reporting tools to manage data assets efficiently

Requirements

✓Background in Computer Science, Applied Math, Engineering, Statistics, or comparable field
✓Experience with financial data and/or compliance/regulatory reporting preferred
✓7+ years of industry experience building complex, scalable ETLs
✓Strategic mindset that drives technical excellence while building consensus with stakeholders
✓Interest in advancing Block's mission of economic empowerment
