About the Role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join Blockstream, a market leader in Bitcoin security and Layer-2 technologies. This role focuses on building, automating, and operating secure blockchain and digital asset infrastructure for enterprise and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

→Build and operate cloud infrastructure for blockchain platforms in banking, custody, payments, and digital asset environments
→Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and release management
→Deploy and manage infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
→Operate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
→Configure and manage environments across AWS, Azure, hybrid, and on-premise deployments
→Implement security hardening, secrets management, encryption, and access controls
→Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or CloudWatch
→Support production deployments, go-live activities, and incident response
→Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure infrastructure meets security, compliance, and architectural requirements
→Contribute to reusable infrastructure patterns, automation frameworks, and operational documentation

Requirements

✓3–6 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure operations roles
✓Hands-on experience building and operating infrastructure in fintech, financial services, or other regulated environments
✓Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure and/or GCP a plus)
✓Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD
✓Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi
✓Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages
✓Experience operating Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms
✓Strong understanding of security, networking, and compliance requirements in regulated environments
✓Self-starter with proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and geographies
✓Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, delivery teams, and client technical stakeholders
✓Languages: English required; Swiss German, German, French or Italian a plus
✓Location: Switzerland, with focus on Zurich and Lugano
