About the Role
BlueCat is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team in the Intelligent Network Operations space. This role involves creating comprehensive technical documentation for our software products and features.
Key Responsibilities
- →Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation
- →Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to understand product features
- →Work with UX designers and developers to ensure UI text is meaningful and error-free
- →Get hands-on with products to ensure documentation accuracy
- →Develop customer-facing documentation including content, charts, and illustrations
- →Integrate documentation into product builds
- →Review and recommend edits to existing documentation
- →Standardize content across platforms
- →Collaborate with Customer Success, Marketing, and Learning and Development teams
Requirements
- ✓Strong English written and speaking skills
- ✓3 years of experience as a Technical Writer in software development or IT
- ✓Preferred: University degree or college diploma in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field
- ✓Proficient with FrameMaker, DITA, DITA-OT, oXygen XML Author, Git
- ✓Familiarity with CSS, HTTP, Javadoc, Markdown, Sphinx, PostMan, and Python
- ✓Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
- ✓Networking knowledge/experience
