About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Purchasing Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Juárez, Mexico. This role is critical in ensuring the highest quality standards for all purchased components while building strong partnerships with our supplier network.
Key Responsibilities
- →Partner with the Purchasing department to identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers that align with our quality and performance standards
- →Serve as a strong collaborative partner in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Preventive Quality Planning (PQP) initiatives to ensure project metrics are met and exceeded
- →Take ownership of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for all purchased components, ensuring compliance and documentation accuracy
- →Lead and implement comprehensive process audits at supplier facilities, tracking findings through closure and providing supportive guidance for continuous improvement
- →Spearhead Supplier Quality Improvement Projects (SQIP), driving innovation and measurable results across the supplier base
- →Monitor and evaluate 8D problem-solving activities, providing training and mentorship to suppliers to enhance their quality management capabilities
- →Collect, analyze, and manage failure costs and quality claims, working transparently with suppliers to resolve issues efficiently
- →Support third-party and customer audits, representing our organization with professionalism and thorough documentation
- →Collaborate with other plant locations and departments to share best practices and support organizational goals
