About the Role
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join Bretton AI, an AI agent platform for financial services. This role involves working directly with customers to deploy and integrate Brettonβs platform in real-world environments, helping customers implement technology in complex enterprise settings.
Key Responsibilities
- βDeploy Bretton's AI agents at banks, fintechs, and payments companies, navigating security and compliance requirements.
- βTravel onsite to work through last-mile connectivity challenges and resolve edge cases in live production.
- βPartner with BSA officers, AML analysts, and risk teams to translate workflows and regulatory requirements into agent behavior.
- βBuild connectors, configuration tools, and internal frameworks to turn customer solutions into repeatable platform capabilities.
- βGuide customers from demo through go-live as a trusted technical advisor.
- βWork cross-functionally with engineering, product, and GTM to remove blockers and ensure customer success.
- βDiagnose and resolve issues in real deployments by collaborating with the engineering team.
- βTranslate customer usage into product insights by sharing needs with engineering and product teams.
Requirements
- β2+ years of experience as a software engineer or similar
- βStrong backend or data engineering background
- βExperience with Python, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure
- βPrevious experience in a customer-facing technical role is a plus
- βActively building with LLMs and modern AI systems is a must
- βExcellent communication skills
- βAbility to explain AI systems to non-technical stakeholders
- βStrong debugging and problem-solving mindset
- βComfort working with enterprise customers
