About the Role
The Brooks Technical Representative will lead and execute field support strategy across distribution channels to increase market share, amplify product leadership, and build brand recognition and loyalty. This role involves extensive travel and participation in grassroots events to represent the brand.
Key Responsibilities
- →Support Sales and Marketing teams with product launches, in-store merchandising, and grassroots programs
- →Educate retailers and consumers about Brooks technology through product seminars and clinics
- →Monitor brand positioning and competitor activity, communicating insights to sales representatives
- →Provide feedback via ForceManager CRM to measure effectiveness of product initiatives and sales strategies
- →Represent Brooks at running events and expos, handling branding, setup, and consumer interaction
- →Communicate technical stories for footwear, apparel, and accessories in an engaging manner
- →Manage point-of-sale implementation to ensure brand consistency and relevance
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ✓1+ years of retail experience, preferably in Athletic Specialty
- ✓2+ years of Marketing/Sales experience in the sports industry preferred
- ✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- ✓Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- ✓Attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution
- ✓Ability to anticipate decision impacts on customers, partners, and operations
- ✓Innovation and initiative in improving products and processes
- ✓Passion for Brooks' sports activities and understanding of runners
- ✓Basic knowledge of retail math, inventory management, and product merchandising
- ✓Knowledge of performance athletic footwear, apparel, accessories, and related technologies
- ✓Understanding of biomechanics and injury prevention basics
- ✓Familiarity with local running community events, clubs, and retailers
- ✓Willingness for extensive travel, weekend work, and extended hours
- ✓Valid driver's license with good driving record
- ✓Alignment with Brooks brand values
