About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Creative Director to join Canva's creative team. This role focuses on redefining lifecycle marketing campaigns across email, in-app messaging, and other customer touchpoints. You'll lead a cross-functional team and collaborate with marketing, product, data, and engineering partners to bring ambitious ideas to life at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- βOwn the creative development of Canvaβs lifecycle campaigns, from idea to execution
- βDeliver bold, personalized campaigns across email, in-app, and beyond
- βTranslate lifecycle marketing goals into clear briefs and standout creative
- βLead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary creative team
- βBring Canvaβs brand identity to life through compelling storytelling and craft
- βCollaborate with data teams to test, learn, and optimize campaign performance
- βStay on top of trends and innovations across lifecycle and CRM channels
Requirements
- β10+ years in creative leadership roles, with strong experience in lifecycle or CRM marketing
- βProven success creating effective, high-volume campaigns that balance brand and performance
- βExperience managing and mentoring creative teams
- βDeep understanding of customer journeys, audience segmentation, and personalization
- βExperience working across channels including email, in-app, and push
- βA strong portfolio that shows excellence in lifecycle storytelling and creative craft
- βConceptual thinker whoβs also able to execute consistently at scale
- βComfortable translating strategy and data into smart, creative ideas
- βEmpathetic leader who builds team culture and creative confidence
- βStrong communicator and collaborator, comfortable working with technical and non-technical teams
- βCurious, adaptable, and energized by fast-paced environments
