About the Role
We are looking for a Language Manager to join our team at Canva. This role focuses on bringing linguistic and cultural knowledge to all aspects of localization, ensuring our international users have the best possible Canva experience.
Key Responsibilities
- βWorking with the Country Localisation Lead to create Canvaβs voice across all parts of the Canva product in French
- βTranslating key content and managing the relationship with our localisation partners for French
- βDeveloping/updating a style guide and glossary
- βReviewing and evaluating translations
- βProviding cultural insights and guidance
- βIdentifying key opportunities for localisation improvements in French
- βReviewing vendor translations
- βAssessing and sourcing new LSPs
- βAnswering linguistic questions
- βTriaging results of scripted testing
Requirements
- βYouβre a natural at writing clear, fun, and engaging content
- βYouβre passionate about languages and cultures and understand how these can impact peopleβs experience of a product
- βYou understand what our customers in France need in order to be able to understand and use Canva
- βYou have an entrepreneurial spirit, with a strong bias towards action and ownership
- βYou showcase a solid understanding of organic growth (SEO)
