About the Role
We are looking for a Build Platform Engineer to join Canva's Build Platform Team. This role focuses on developing self-service infrastructure to empower engineering teams and ensure Canva's engineering teams scale with product demands.
Key Responsibilities
- βDevelop self-service infrastructure to empower engineering teams
- βWork across CI/CD, build systems, test frameworks, and cloud providers
- βEnsure build-related best practices are rolled out across services
- βDesign, build, and optimize developer workflows for a monorepo architecture
- βParticipate in solution design meetings, hiring interviews, and code reviews
- βImprove and maintain internal developer experience platforms
Requirements
- βPassion for developer tools and build systems
- βStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
- βProficiency in Python, Java, or GoLang
- βExperience maintaining large monorepo build infrastructure
- βAbility to resolve complex build or runtime errors
- βExperience guiding and mentoring team members
- βStrong written and verbal communication skills
- βTeamwork and collaboration abilities
