About the Role
The Quality Manager position at CaptiveAire Systems, Inc. leads plant-wide quality initiatives at their West Union, IA manufacturing facility. This role focuses on ensuring products meet established standards, driving continuous improvement, and overseeing quality personnel and processes to exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- →Ensure internal and external quality exceeds customers’ expectations
- →Instill a quality-minded culture with focus on continuous improvements and Kaizen
- →Oversee analysis of all internal and external quality issues to identify and improve shortfalls
- →Develop and implement QA/QC procedures to prevent issues
- →Investigate plant quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- →Verify products are built to standards set by R&D
- →Oversee and manage all Quality engineers, Product Quality inspectors and Quality Techs
- →Assist staff with issues that cannot be resolved through standard means
- →Schedule and arrange quality training for employees
- →Schedule, perform and analyze quality audits and product reviews
- →Manage Engineering Change Notice (ECN) rollout to plant lines
- →Implement Process Change Instructions, Supplier Non-Conformance Reports, Deviation Requests and enforce Key Quality Points
- →Audit work instructions for continuous improvement
Requirements
- ✓2-10 years experience in quality or manufacturing environment
- ✓4-year technical degree in mechanical or quality-oriented curriculum
- ✓Exceptional root cause analysis, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- ✓Familiarity with lean management and continuous improvement methodology
- ✓Ability to hold others accountable and execute projects in a timely manner
- ✓Capable of visualizing and implementing new projects across the facility
- ✓Multi-tasking, problem solving and strong communication skills
- ✓Ability to operate while maintaining deadlines and meeting standards
- ✓Strong desire to please customers with perfect product quality while maintaining a safe work environment
