The Job
Weβre looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative compliance professional to support marketing and product compliance across Cardlessβs credit card programs. This role sits at the intersection of compliance, marketing, and product, helping ensure our customer-facing materials and application flows meet regulatory and partner bank requirements. As a Marketing Compliance Manager, youβll review marketing materials, disclosures, and customer journeys to ensure alignment with applicable laws and internal standards. Youβll work closely with marketing, product, operations, and legal to help bring new card programs and campaigns to market in a compliant, customer-friendly way. This is a strong opportunity for someone midway through their compliance career who wants hands-on exposure to fintech product launches and marketing reviews in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and who is eager to lean in and learn from a strong compliance team.
Responsibilities
Review and approve marketing materials, disclosures, and application flows for compliance with applicable regulations and partner bank requirements.
Support new card program launches by ensuring required disclosures and regulatory elements are accurately incorporated.
Partner with marketing, product, design, and operations teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical, customer-friendly guidance.
Assist in interpreting and applying requirements under Regulation Z, Regulation B, UDAAP, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, FCRA, and related consumer protection laws.

Support partner bank reviews and respond to compliance-related inquiries as needed.
Contribute to training and awareness efforts to promote compliant marketing practices across the organization.
Requirements
4β5 years of experience in compliance, legal, risk, or a related function within banking, fintech, or financial services.
Working knowledge of consumer protection and marketing-related regulations (e.g., Regulation Z, Regulation B, UDAAP, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, FCRA).
Strong attention to detail and the ability to review customer-facing content through a regulatory lens.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide practical, solutions-oriented feedback.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A collaborative mindset and comfort working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams.
Bonus Points
Experience reviewing marketing materials for credit card or consumer lending products.
Exposure to fintech or partner-bank program structures.
Interest in consumer finance, loyalty programs, and credit card products.
Curiosity about how compliance can enable responsible, innovative growth.
Before You Apply
A few things worth knowing:
- We work in the office 5 days a week. We know that's a dealbreaker for some people, and that's okay.
- This is an early-stage company. We're ~40 people servicing hundreds of thousands of customers. You'll be building processes that don't exist yet, not optimizing ones that do. If you want structure handed to you, this isn't the right fit.
- You'll need to be highly self-directed. There isnβt a playbook for this role, and you wonβt get daily check-ins. Weβre looking for someone who sees whatβs broken or missing, takes ownership, and follows through without being asked.
- The pace is intense and this role is hands-on. We have aggressive goals and a lot to build β this isn't a 9-to-5 quiet, maintenance-mode compliance jobβyouβll be in the middle of everything.
If that scared you off, no hard feelings. If it got you excited, keep reading.

- Opportunity for high growth
- Be a part of a well-respected compliance team and culture
