About the Role

We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our team building enterprise software for restaurant chains. This role focuses on security visibility across our systems, including cloud infrastructure, distributed platforms, and on-premise components.

Key Responsibilities

• →Own Security Visibility Across the Company
• →Manage our Sumo Logic SIEM end-to-end, including collectors, pipelines, detections, and data quality
• →Ensure security telemetry exists across corporate systems, cloud infrastructure, platform components, and third-party vendors
• →Build security detections only after validating the underlying signal is trustworthy
• →Identify security-relevant signals and work with engineering to extract them
• →Design creative approaches for logs that don’t exist, extreme data volume, or when native tools don’t scale
• →Build custom solutions when necessary
• →Aggregate, normalize, and make useful data on patch and update status, configuration drift, runtime state, and changes that increase risk
• →Monitor CVEs, vendor advisories, security releases, and dark-web activity
• →Determine applicability of external threats to our environment and drive investigations, detections, or remediation
• →Lead security incident response as the default Incident Commander
• →Coordinate across infrastructure, application, and systems teams during incidents
• →Run post-incident reviews and incorporate learnings into the system
