On-Call Lighting Technician - Drawn to Life at Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group

About the Role

We are looking for a Lighting Technician to support our Lighting team. This on-call position involves ensuring the safe setup, use, and maintenance of lighting systems and equipment for show readiness. The ideal candidate will have a team player mindset and contribute to a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• →Learn and run follow spot/deck cue tracks for performances, training, and events
• →Ensure safe setup, use, and maintenance of lighting systems through timely inspections
• →Use safe wiring practices and maintain equipment according to industry standards
• →Assist with inventory management to ensure sufficient equipment and supplies
• →Update maintenance and inspection records to comply with company policies
• →Maintain cue track documentation and participate in cue track rotation
• →Participate in special projects including construction and installation of new show elements
• →Develop thorough knowledge of production-specific lighting equipment for safe operation
• →Assist with cross-training program to backup console operators and moving light repair technicians
• →Adhere to OSHA regulations and participate in required health and safety training
• →Assist other departments when necessary for cross-departmental support
• →Complete other job-related duties as assigned
