Key Responsibilities
- →Facilitate design and rigging of sound systems during load-ins
- →Replace other sound technicians and technicians in various positions during performances as needed
- →Ensure all sound-related operations function smoothly during rehearsals and performances
- →Maintain safety of sound equipment at all times
- →Participate in maintenance, repair, and modification of sound equipment
- →Update sound archives and ensure equipment installation aligns with show concepts
- →Apply safety standards and regulations for sound equipment
- →Support equipment and inventory management procedures
- →Manage inventory and equipment data using provided tools
- →Follow customs and logistics requirements for transporting equipment with touring shows
- →Perform other related tasks as assigned by Production Manager or Head of Sound
Requirements
- ✓College diploma or equivalent in live entertainment, theatre production, sound technology, or electronics (or equivalent work experience)
- ✓Minimum 3 years experience operating digital audio consoles and in-ear monitoring
- ✓Experience with arena PA rigging, line arrays, and chain motor operation
- ✓Knowledge of line array design and tuning software like SMAART and SIM
- ✓Understanding of digital and networked audio
- ✓Experience with managed data networks, fibre transmission, and troubleshooting
- ✓Flexibility, autonomy, and team player attitude
- ✓Good communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
- ✓Knowledge of Microsoft software for Windows
- ✓Fluency in spoken and written English (French fluency is an asset)
- ✓Availability to tour full-time and work in foreign countries
