About the Role
The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Web Designer with Content Management System (CMS) experience to join their Communications & Public Engagement Department. This role involves developing and maintaining the municipal website and creative content.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and maintain public and intranet websites within the CMS
- →Create visual designs that prioritize quality user experience and accessibility
- →Implement UI/UX designs within branding guidelines and ADA compliance
- →Work with IT staff, internal developers, and contractors to identify web content needs
- →Support development of engaging web content aligned with the City's brand
- →Track website analytics to inform content direction
- →Evaluate and update webpages for correctness, relevance, SEO, and visual appeal
- →Provide training and support for content developers citywide
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in web design, graphic design, computer science, or related field
- ✓Four years of experience in web design, marketing, or communications
- ✓Valid Texas Driver’s License
- ✓Experience with CMS, UX/UI, and ADA Compliance
- ✓Knowledge of programming languages: HTML5, CSS, SCSS, JSON, JQuery, JavaScript
- ✓Experience with Granicus/OpenCities platforms
- ✓Familiarity with .NET programming (C#, ASP.NET), Bootstrap
- ✓Experience with Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud
- ✓Knowledge of Rest API with Basic Authentication, HMAC Authentication, RSS/Atom feeds
- ✓Canva knowledge and experience
- ✓Email design/marketing experience
