About the Role
The Department of Buildings is seeking a Principal Administrative Associate to perform administrative and analytical work regarding violations, financial data, and related operations. This role involves monitoring and analyzing various data sets to identify trends and ensure compliance with codes and legislations.
Key Responsibilities
- →Monitor and analyze violation adjudication data from hearing to penalty payments to identify financial trends
- →Monitor and analyze workload and staffing required to maintain compliance targets
- →Develop and track all violations and their collections rates to ensure compliance with the codes and legislations
- →Analyze data, produce independent quantitative and qualitative analyses, and make recommendations
- →Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to optimize efficiencies
- →Work with the revenue team and across departments to ensure data integrity
- →Evaluate and validate various proposals, legislation, and initiatives using workload, statistical analyses, and cost effectiveness techniques
- →Conduct site surveys, interviews, and research with various units and make required recommendations of fiscal impacts and projections
- →Prepare ad-hoc reports, spending plans, charts, graphs, and other related materials to highlight variances, projection trends, and potential risks
- →Monitor revenue and spending plan targets
- →Perform budgetary assignments of ordinary difficulty and responsibility
- →Conduct monthly Comptrollers’ and Citibank reconciliations
- →Handle returned check reconciliation and online process
- →Research and resolve credit card chargeback disputes
- →Review L2 requests (civil penalty waiver review requests) making determinations based on Rule
Requirements
- ✓Permanent in the Principal Administrative Associate civil service title or reachable on the Principal Administrative Associate open competitive list
- ✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ✓Experience with financial data analysis and reporting
- ✓Ability to work with various departments and teams
- ✓Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
- ✓Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
- ✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ✓Ability to conduct research and make recommendations based on findings
- ✓Experience with budgetary assignments and financial reconciliations
- ✓Knowledge of relevant codes and legislations
