About the Role
The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Technology and Innovation Division seeks an IT Project Manager to lead multiple Enterprise level software development projects. This role involves driving all aspects of the software development lifecycle from initiation to closeout, supporting New York City Capital Construction work.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage one or more project teams during technical design and implementation
- →Perform Business Analysis and Requirements gathering by working with subject matter experts
- →Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution
- →Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- →Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
- →Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
- →Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs
- →Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- →Report and escalate issues to management as needed
- →Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- →Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- →Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- →Manage the relationship with clients and stakeholders
- →Track budget and expenses for project consultants and activities
Requirements
- ✓Authorization to work in the United States is required
- ✓Experience in IT project management and software development
- ✓Strong skills in business analysis and requirements gathering
- ✓Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- ✓Experience with project documentation and risk management
- ✓Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
- ✓Ability to manage project budgets and resources effectively
