About the Role
The Department of Small Business Services (SBS) is seeking a Program Manager to join the Neighborhood Development Division. This role involves managing Avenue NYC organizational development programs and capacity building initiatives for community-based development organizations in low-income communities.
Key Responsibilities
- →Oversee numerous Avenue NYC organizational development programs and cohort-based capacity building initiatives
- →Assist with cross-functional programs including Avenue NYC Organizational Development grant program oversight
- →Manage day-to-day operations of assigned programs including outreach, recruitment, curriculum development, and program administration
- →Lead communications efforts including website updates, social media content, and newsletter items
- →Supervise external nonprofit partners and their project outcomes
- →Support alumni networks through events, mentoring, and professional development
- →Develop and deliver presentations and written materials to communicate program objectives
- →Analyze program goals, metrics, and outcomes
- →Serve as a representative of SBS at BID Board of Directors meetings and public events
Requirements
- ✓Program Manager Associate: 1-2 years of full-time, relevant experience in program management, capacity building initiatives, nonprofit partnerships, or community development programs
- ✓Program Manager: 3+ years of full-time, relevant experience in program management, capacity building initiatives, nonprofit partnerships, or community development programs
