About the Role
The New York City Department of Housing Preservation Development (HPD) seeks a Project Manager to join the Division of Preservation Finance. This role involves managing capitally funded preservation transactions and working closely with various stakeholders to preserve affordable housing.
Key Responsibilities
- →Perform general project management duties for preservation transactions
- →Review and analyze mortgage notes, regulatory agreements, and other documents
- →Conduct financial modeling with emphasis on affordability and cash flow projections
- →Coordinate loan closings with HPD divisions and programs
- →Ensure timely completion of transactions
- →Review preservation proposals and make recommendations
- →Produce detailed reports, memoranda, and presentations
- →Engage in programmatic policy discussions
- →Act as a liaison with developers, financial institutions, and community groups
Requirements
- ✓Strong financial analysis skills including financial modeling in Excel
- ✓Experience with financial statement analysis
- ✓Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects
- ✓Strong verbal and written communication skills
- ✓Knowledge of affordable housing development/lending preferred
- ✓Understanding of HPD development programs preferred
- ✓Authorization to work in the United States required
