About the Role
The Pedestrian Ramp Program (PRP) is seeking an experienced Senior Manager/Engineer to join their engineering team. This role involves managing and coordinating the implementation of pedestrian ramp contracts, ensuring ADA compliance, and providing technical training in accessibility standards.
Key Responsibilities
- →Evaluate existing pedestrian ramps
- →Develop accessible, ADA-compliant design solutions
- →Review project plans for compliance with ADA and standards
- →Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- →Identify and resolve design issues
- →Conduct site visits related to pedestrian ramp design and construction
- →Manage pedestrian ramp contracts throughout the project lifecycle
- →Oversee project scope preparation and budget evaluation
- →Monitor project schedules and implement risk mitigation strategies
- →Review technical infeasibility documentation
- →Assess ADA compliance of pedestrian facilities
- →Assist in developing agency policies regarding accessibility
Requirements
- ✓Permanent position in the title of Associate Project Manager or reachable on the civil service list, Exam # 3110
- ✓Experience in managing engineering projects
- ✓Knowledge of ADA compliance and accessibility standards
- ✓Strong leadership and team management skills
- ✓Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders
- ✓Experience with technical design review and project management
- ✓Understanding of infrastructure projects and pedestrian ramp design
